PROSPECT HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST with PRIVATE PARKING
Prospect House is a quality bed and breakfast. We are a small friendly establishment and offer a home from
home environment with warmth, cleanliness, comfort and a good Yorkshire breakfast to set you up for your
day. We are a short distance away from the town centre, bus stop and train station.
There is a choice of tastefully decorated large, spacious double en-suite, twin or family rooms each
offering TV, DVD, hair dryer and hospitality trays. Fresh towels and complimentary toiletries are also
provided and housekeeping is done daily. We also have standard double rooms where the bathroom is
sometimes a shared facility. We offer a range of breakfast options using local produce whenever possible.
We offer a high standard of accommodation to singles, couples, families, tourists, walkers, golfers,
cyclists, etc. Whitby has lots to see and do for all age groups.
For those wanting to experience the history of the town, visit Whitby Abbey and the 199 steps, Pannet Park,
the Whalebone Arch and Capt. Cook’s monument. For the occasional rainy day! - why not try The Spa Complex ,
Whitby Leisure Centre and Pool, Whitby Museum in the park and the numerous shops selling Whitby jet? Don’t
forget the Dracula experience and ghost walks.
There are plenty of traditional pubs, some offering 'real ale', some with traditional live music,
contemporary wine bars. There are cafes and restaurants providing local fish and meat products ranging
from bar meals to a la carte meals and of course Whitby famous fish and chips.
Prospect House is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. The beach is close by and Whitby
is a gateway to pretty coastal villages such as, Sandsend, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes.
Scarborough is only 21 miles away.
The North York Moors steam train runs from Whitby to Pickering.
We are surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and near to rural villages such as
Goathland, home of TV's Heartbeat, Grosmont and the steam trains, Ruswarp,(has lots of childrens facilities)
Sleights, Lealholm and Egton to name a few.
